Does any body know the popular/hailing channels on a sideband radio. I just got one and can’t seem to raise anyone. Maybe some one could give me a radio check at a predetermined time.
First off…are you sure you are xmitting? If you are , then are you rcving? remember there are over 1000 channels so you could spend all day and not raise anyone…
there are time signals transmitted on 10MHz and 15MHz
the 6 Coast Guard GMDSS frequencies are
2182
4125 (4S)
6215 (6S)
8291 (8S)
12,290 (12S)
16,420 (16S)
or try 6224 which is the common east coast ship to ship channel
