Simmons Sea skiffs

I just bought a 1954 Simmons Sea Skiff. I was wondering if there are any others in Charleston or if anyone on the site has one.
Trying to learn more about it. Any help would be appreciated!

check with Brunswick County Community College(?) in Wilmington, NC. They are the care taker of the plans for the Simmons. there are several around here that I’ve seen.

I think that spareparts means Cape Fear Community College. They have a Simmons show in conjunction with the Boat building school there every year. The Cape Fear Museum in Wilmington is caretaker of the plans that Dave Carnell put together.

I have an 18 foot Simmmons (Homebuilt) and there is another on a lift just south of M’ville on the ICW. There were also a couple at the Gerogetown Wooden Boat show.

You probably already know about it but if not be sure to check out:
http://www.simmonsseaskiff.com/ There is a lot of good info there.

A picture of it would be nice. Even if it's not in great shape.

Just a quick search on the net will give you lots of sites and lots of cool pictures.

thanks williaro, I knew it was something like that

We used to have a 20’er.

Political Correctness: A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end!

Put my Simmons Sea Skiff in the water today. It was soooo smooth. I was chasing wakes like a PWC just to enjoy how the bow took the waves. The Yamaha 40 is more than enough engine. Can’t wait to take it fishing!
