Not sure what to do about an issue I’m having with my new simrad units. I can’t seem to uploads my reef data to the units. Every time I try I get a ‘Parsing’ error. The data is in .usr format so I think that’s correct. Any ideas? Thanks.
We have NSS 12 EVO2’s.
Not familiar with .usr format. Are you able to upload logs to Genesis Maps(formerly Insight Genesis)?
You may wish to call me: 843-522-3651.
See also Structure Map. Astonishing technology at SIMRAD, but difficult to learn!

Do you mean uploading waypoints? If so they must be in .gpx format. Here is how I transferred all my waypoints from a Garmin unit to my Simrad EVO3.
Making sure you have them formatted in .GPX data format is usually best as it is nearly universally accepted format for import/export in & from chartplotters.
If your WP file is in a different format not readily compatible with whatever device you are trying to get them into, there are a number of conversion /transfer programs to help with that.
Here’s the one I had luck with, going from Garmin to Simrads , and did not have to manipulate anything with any of the WPs ( which were & remained in DDD.MM.mmm position format) , Just a few clicks for novice- me but did have to go from a previously empty CF card to computer file to an MSD card in the converted .GPX data format to get it into the Simrads:
http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/ It’s free and can convert a large batch at once.

The .usr format is the format that The Lowrance units use. Since Simrad and Lowrance are closely related I assumed (incorrectly) that they used the same format. I’ll convert to .gpx and see if that does it. Thanks for the help.

The changing of the file format did the trick. Thanks to all.
