Six lines in

Most tournament rules state six lines in the water…If you are jigging bait do you remove the appropriate lines from your spread, or do you only count kingfish rigs as lines in and therefore jigging doesn’t count?

I have asked this question of many longtime SKAers and have gotten a thumbs up on both sides.

You should ask at each captains meeting. Some allow jigging with 6 lines in, some don’t. Had a boat come close to us and take a picture with lines out and jigging. Better to ask up front.

Most tourneys consider the jig rod as one of your 6. I am going to ask a similar question tonight. I want to know if you can jig before lines in. I am gonna ask to make sure.

Well how about let us know what you find out.

i have caught snake kings on a sabinki rig. biggest i’ve ever caught was about 12 lbs. he was hooked dead center in the upper jaw, i’ve always left one rod out of the spread while jigging bait… just can’t ever tell.
