Ski Tow Install

I am about to purchase a 2008 tidewater 1900 bay max (sea pro hull). I am interested in putting a ski tow on it. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to take it to get this done that will do it properly and at a decent price, or is this something I am just as well off doing it myself. I will be a first time boat owner and have limited knowledge, but am fairly good at learning and working on things. I am slightly paranoid about doing this because I have seen on other used boats i looked at how adding after market stuff to a boat that involves drilling holes can ruin the deck and allow moisture in if not done properly. I’m thinking that one of the tripod set ups would fit best. My main concerns would be selecting the best place for the mounts that are structurally sound and making sure all holes are sealed properly. Any suggestions or tips regarding procedures or places to take it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Raymond Martin, Martin Marine Design, in Hardeeville can do it and do it right. He has built many of them.

I have one I was about to sell. It’s off a scout. It’s a transom mount. Fits over the motor, and is removable

IF I RESPOND IN ALL CAPS, ITS NOT ON PURPOSE, AND I AM NOT YELLING

I am purchasing the boat at longshore boats on Daniel island. They said they could do it but it sounds like for parts and labor it will end up being around 500-600. Anyone have any experience with their quality of work and is this a reasonable price. I thought it seemed high.

Don’t know about the quality of their work, but I don’t think the price is too high. Raymond’s would not be any less.
