Skinny red for the boy!

The family was out of town last 2 weeks while I was on my skinny adventures, so they pummeled me to take them out on a flat today!

E-dog saw some movement, and was like “Where do I cast!”. I told him deep and right, bring it to him, and he executed perfectly!:slightly_smiling_face: A couple swirls, and then his line shot left. “Dude! You got him!” He didn’t even realize he’d picked it up! LOL!

It was fun watching him contain his excitement and tip-toe around the boat to catch his first skinny red. 25.5". A few photos and a release and quiet man hugs were in order! Fine day!

Saw another tailer we couldn’t reach then headed to the main channel. Poked around for trout, caught a few dinks, and I plucked off another red, but the rest of falling tide was a bust.

Fun, FUN day!:sunglasses:

Battling!

Tippy toeing!

Almost there!

BAM! Fun to see the kids that jacked up!

You were right, Pod. I’m RUINT!

Thanks, folks. Upper Wando. And yes Russ, it is worth it! He’s tying his own knots now so he is doubly proud of his catches since he does it essentially on his own. He’s a heck of an asset at the ramp, too!

I’m 2 for 2 on great kids. A lucky guy!

you are right nothing like the kids being proud of their catch! Great report

So glad to see that. I know that spot and a good one at that. Frame that one of him holding the fish and put it on the wall. Both of you will smile often.
