Just wanted to pass this along…
I bought a used SS OMC prop from a fellow CF.com’er but it allowed my 70 'Rude to turn too many RPM’s…~6200. So, yesterday I took it off and went by Skip’s Propeller on Cross County Road. I have been to Skip’s a couple of times and have always been pleased with the work he has done as well as his quick turnaround.
He looked at my prop as I explained to him what was happening. He then asked a few questions about performance and invited me to follow him back into the shop where he proceeded to put the gauges on it, made a few adjustments (added some cup to it) and told me to put it back on and try it out. So today I was able to test it again and I’ll-be-(**()ed if it isn’t SPOT ON! WOT is 5700 RPM, the boat runs great, jumps on plane faster than a cat can lick its azz and allows me to trim the motor higher for optimal performance…which I could never do with my previous prop!
He’s a great guy and I will always recommend him for prop repairs and adjustments.

Thanks for sharing. I need to get mine worked on this summer. Will definitely give them a call.

That scout was running like a scared cat before. Can’t wait to see what this 14’ mckee will do with the 70 on it.

No kidding…and the wife won’t even let me consider selling it. She loves that boat as much or more than I do.

Been to the sandbar lately?
Took props to Skip years ago for work. They came back perfect.Almost too pretty to put back on the motors. My dad used to use him for prop work when he had a battle wagon.
His name is Mike and yes, he knows his stuff.
