my son , a buddy and myself started around 10am sat morn and fished about three hours. ended up keeping 20 crappie that weighted 24lbs. had a couple of two pounders. must have thrown back 20 smaller ones. went back sunday and kept 23/about 15lbs. not quite the size but not bad for about three hours each day. ended up with 7qt bags of filets. yummmmmmm!

Good deal there Bobby. I was coming home from Barstow Sunday morning and saw quite a few anglers on Murray with spider rigs out. Didn’t realize it was crappie time. Haven’t done that in years.

raddaddy; we fished the upper saluda. used jigs with tuffies on them. also just crappie hooks w/tuffies. fish anywhere between 8-13ft at this time. good luck.
