Slammed it Saturday

This morning I took MyHooker111 for a little trip behind Folly. We managed to land 3 reds (one over the slot and two around the lower end), 2 trout (14 and 13ish), 1 flounder (16), and I lost track of the sheephead (10 or 15? but all under 14). Mummichogs, fiddlers, and plastics. Fished from low tide until about mid tide. The last hour or so was in the rain. Still made it back on the hill and had everything cleaned up by 1230.

First “serious” fishing trip of the year as I have either been working on boats or under them all year until now. Not a bad way to kick it off.

Narcosis

Good to hear, will be starting up this week myself.

Awesome first trip, I would say, sir.

Congrats!

New to Folly River; here for a week. Any tips on where to fish as I’ve been skunked all week so far. Using minnows and gulp. Any place near her to buy fiddlers?

thanks

KWJack: fish near the bank and keep the baits moving… docks at Crosby’s Seafood and Bowen’s Island produce good fish

KWJACK—Crosby’s in Folly sometimes has fiddler crabs. Haddrells Point in West Ashley most likely has them right now.
