Hit the water with a friend on Saturday morning and caught some fish.
Launched at 7am from Remleys and we left the fish biting at 1.
Put 37 Trout and 4 Redfish in the boat all on ZMan Baits, MinnowZ (Pearl Blue Glimmer and Bad Shad) and Trout Tricks in Shrimp Po Boy Color. All matched up the TroutEye Jighead. Get out and catch some fish.
I notice in one picture you’re using a circle knot and the others you’re not. Any rhyme or reason? I’ve always contemplated a circle knot but never committed.

Good work Simon. On the subject of loop knots if you’re using 8lb or less mono its not required. This looks like 15-20 lb leader in the pics but the trout didn’t seem to mind.
Haha I didn’t even notice. I caught the first fish, the other two were fish Daniel caught. He out caught me so it probably doesn’t matter to much. I always tie the loop knot to start the day and continue depending on how many I break off. I can tie it just as fast as a cinch knot though. We only lost one of those pretty TroutEyes though so I had a loop knot the whole day. I was using 20lb flouro.

Is that the same as a Rapala knot? I use that when fishing with hard lures, never used them with soft. Any difference in catching that you could notice?
