sleep in tent or ENO hammock on beach

I’m looking to camp one night on the beach in a tent, preferably a place where it’s legal  No state park. No crowds. Just surf, sand, saltwater and my beautiful wife of 19 years. Is this possible to find in the Low Country? I live in Ravenel. Seems like last year I saw someone posting a place you can pitch a tent on the beach but had to get there by boat.

I’d either have to rent a tandem kayak and paddle or pay someone to drop me off and pick me up by boat.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

You can camp at Capers Island north of iop with a dnr permit. Kind of a long paddle trip.

Not the beach but very peaceful. Limehouse landing and by kayak head east (north direction of the ICW) There are some small islands on the left that I see people camping at all the time. Be careful sometimes idiots leave glass behind…

Bring plenty of bug spray and watch out for rattlesnakes. This isn’t the best time of year for camping.

You can also head the opposite direction from the landing, go right down the creek towards the RR tressel and camp on teh island on your left. I’ve seen folks camping there also. Same advice about glass, etc.

This is father away from you, but a lot of people camp on Morris Island a lot. Everyone does it so I assume it is legal. Its a big island so if other people are there it has plenty of space to spread out
