Slimed the new Ride

Maiden voyage of the new Ride 135 was in Moncks Corner on the Tailrace Canal. They were pulling water at Pinopolis Dam, so I didn’t paddle too far up due to the current, but I drifted back down several times past the Hwy 52 bridge to the landing, bumping raw shrimp off the bottom, and this Channel Cat was the first slime of the new yak:

Had a few good bites, and had another one on but he wasn’t hooked too good and he popped off at the last second…

Here’s the Ride:

I’m now officially hooked…

Nice rig! I am going on my fourth trip in my new ride this AM. I have placed a cooler inside my crate. Will try it today for the first time. Going on the Combahee River out of Yemassee. Very nice black water with some nice Red Breast. Mounted the cooler so I could take a couple to eat.

Hello elgeebee. Does the rod holder up front get in the way of putting the paddle under the bow bungee? Fished today on Combahee and caught three Red Breast and a giant Mudfish. Has anyone ever seen a small Mudfish?

No it doesn’t affect the paddle bungee…

I think those mudfish are born fully grown!
