It was a slow day fishing but back at Buckhall while waiting for my buddy to back the truck down I noticed something and decided to take a closer look. I found this girl unable to dive and making slow progress. My fishing partners wife works for U.S. Fish and Wildlife and she contacted DNR who gave us the go ahead to get her in the boat while they contacted the SC Sea Turtle Hospital. About an 1 1/2 hours later two ladies from the hospital show up and we loaded her in to the Air Conditioned bed of the turtle truck and they headed to the Aquarium. The turtle had no obvious injuries and her weight looked normal according to the experts. They are going to keep me posted on her prognosis’

It was a slow day, got rained on for the first hour, forgot the gps/fish finder, couldn’t find shrimp and we only caught a pretty nice Bonnet Head, Blue Fish and some Whiting!
You seem to have a good eye for the natural habits of sea creatures. Sounds like you made the right calls. Always check with the wildlife people before making assumptions. Great pictures, by the way.
