I am reluctantly selling my slow pitch gear. I have a Shimano Travala S 6’3" Medium action slow pitch rod paired with a Shimano Tyrnos 8 2 speed reel in amazing shape with 30lb power pro. Why 2 speed you say, I’ll explain. The general idea is to use the high speed reel to work the jig (I am including about $40 in jigs). I used the setup on a head boat out of Myrtle when I could go (I don’t get to but once a year and thus can’t justify the gear). I mostly caught snapper, grouper and smallish fish, however, there are AJ’s and and red snapper so I could drop the reel in low gear and wench the heavy fish up. This is such a good setup for here in SC anywhere you’d use live bait. watch some youtube about slow pitch jigging.
Entire setup is $400, no trades, pretty firm.
