Figured I’ve trolled the site long enough without any real posts so my (early) New Year’s resolution is to change that.
Ran out Sat. to some ledges in 95’ and did a little bottom fishing. Picked up the usual suspects: bsb, b-liners, etc… 1st dive with Bugcatcher yielded nothing. Ran to next spot…again nothing to shoot (although I have never seen so many ARS). Getting a little desperate (and chilly) we ran in to a go-to in 85’ loaded with scamps, gags, and the largest seabass I’ve personally ever seen. Put 3 grouper in the boat to 18lbs and one solid sheepie before headed to hill. Great ride out and in at 35 knots, water temp 62-63.

Ran out again Monday with Cocktails and CriticalCare out of Edisto to 115’ and found some good live bottom. Limitied out on b-liners in about 30 min. Divers in to find nice bottom with 30’ vis and sea turtles for days. Back dove the other end and found more turtles, I think it was 8-9 in all…very interesting. Couple of grouper (biggest 17.5lbs.) in the boat and off to the next spot. Down and up with 4 bugs. Hit a wreck on the way in only to find the light & vis disappearing and the water temp down to 60. Pulled a sheepie and a couple flounder out from under the hull and inside the holds. Couldn’t have asked for a better ride as the seas looked like a tub.
Again, I apologize for not being more active in this forum, but will do my best to get better.
