Found fish in upper lake but they would not bite. Only fish caught were short fish schooling under birds. Like everything else this year, they are a little behind.
Yes indeed. I went up LR and got skunked for the first time in long time-- not even a short.

Misery loves company. I briefly fished the Cloud’s Creek area Sunday (without electronics, so I can’t say if fish were even there) and also came home empty handed.
I fished Sunday and had a decent day … I went to the Little River today to duplicate results and it sucked … I went back to where I was yesterday and it sucked … I know the biomass is in the main river channel from the elbow through the forks but getting them to eat is the mystery … I guess I’m going to be packing downrods for next weekend … Fishing in the rain … Joy …

I fished the spoons Sunday afternoon for a couple of hours. Didn’t think I’d need the electronics. Boy… was I wrong! Only caught three white perch. Fished between 17’ and 42’ deep at three normally good spots. Never caught two at a spot. Pretty frustrating compared to a week ago. I did manage to break off one big fish, probabbly a big catfish. Every bite I had was at about 36’.
I saw plenty of gulls late this afternoon, diving over deeper water. Fish probably fed good about an hour before dark. Nice to know I’m not the only one the fish are teasing.

Catching a fish with that is not lost on me!!
