Small Boat Short Post 10-14-07

Late post from Sunday. Headed out to the Kiawah Reef for some near shore bottom fishing. Only a few other boats out and lots of BSB. We kept about 20 BSB and let go about 40 more.
We did hook up to a Cobia that was 40+ pounds. Fought him for about 15 minutes had him up to the side of the boat and then he headed back down. Stayed down for about 5 more minutes and then the hook pulled. It was fun while it lasted, and overall a great day on the ocean for a 22ft pathfinder.

nice remora

Ya, they stick to anything. I didn’t realize how readily they would eat cut bait. Interesting stuff.

We were out at the Edisto 40 Sat; lots of bsb but only a few were of legal size maybe

Man, That’s some good eating right there.

Congrats on a fine day.
