Does anyone have a recommendation for a small engine repair place?
I have a mower that needs some work done after my tenants tried to take it apart and fix it themselves.
I’m in North Charleston.

I am pretty handy with small engines, and in North Chuck… What is it or not doing?
A bad day fishing is much better than a good day at work.
The pull string is gone, and the spring that retracts the string looks bent. There are also some bolts that disappeared, so I believe parts will need to be ordered.

I know it doesn’t help ya’ll down there but, if you need someone in the Cola area, I just found a really good guy. He rebuilt the carb, replaced the sprocket and plug and tuned up my chainsaw for $50 and did it in 4 days.

triple A rental just rents party supplies. There is a hardware store up by Bosch, I think Ace, that works on lawnmowers. What you have is a simple fix, if you have any kind of mechanical ability you can fix the mower.
Yep, definately a simple fix… The missing bolts would be the toughest part. Unfortunately, I too am leaving in the morning for a fishing Vacation, so I would not be able to assist until around the second as well… Be carefull taking it to a repair facility, they will sock it to you on the bill… But, a few places I know of you can take it to would be Driggers on College Park rd near ATP or Cravens in West Asheley off of Hwy 61…
But, if you can wait until the first of June, I am also in North Charleston and would be happy to help you with it…

There is also a small engine repair facility on Remount near Yeamans Hall… piles of mowers beside the shop. Don’t know the name of the place, but would imagine he would have plenty of spare bolts laying around…

Cravens Auto Electric is closed, the guy on Remount Road is a good guy. I think his name is Eds Small Engine repair, I have known him for years.
I took it to RT’s Lawnmower and Small Engine Repair. He was really nice, but isn’t everybody nice when you’re handing them money?
The mower is only $170 at WalMart brand new, so I’ll just tell him to forget about it if he gives me some crazy number. It’s $20 for him to troubleshoot it and give me an estimate. I will definitely report back on how it goes.
I am already knees-deep in stuff to do at my rental property. If I had more time, I’d try to fix it myself, but the rental property is priority #1.

I use Ed’s on Remount also.
RT’s did a great job. I am very happy.
They got it done in seven days, and it was only $50 for parts and labor.
I was so happy that I dropped off my other mower when I went to pick up the first one.
