Sorry to be a dummy, but did you smoke the venison then make chili with it?
Yes, I put the whole tube of meat on the egg with a temp of about 225-275 for about 2 hours, then added it to the rest of the stuff for a few hours more on the stovetop. Chili has a good smoky flavor
