Smokers at the rocks!

Caught a 40 lber at the tideline (25’ from the green can at the end of the rocks) Took it on a mono leader, #7 circle hook, and a live pogie. We were looking for cobia. Saw another that looked same size sky, and then saw another big one boated.

Very nice smoker aka “money fish” run through the cans last weekend and nothing but blues and snakes. Again very nice fish where you pitching bait at the cans or slow trolling the cans?

We were drifting the tideline (brown to green water) pitching live 8"-10" pogies, and drifting baits

Morris Island, another top secret spot for finding bait blabbed on the web. I may beat the crowd and go out to the second set.

well if 6 - 8" baits were off Morris Island this weekend you are a better “cast netter” than 99% of the crews that fished…" 3" were all we found along with 4 other boats…it took a 12 mile hike to find 4" pogies…not to say you did not find them but…

Oh btw, they will be non-existent come Friday…as always…good luck to all my buds fishing Tailwalker’s

HAHAHAH That is Laughable. Top Secret spot??? ROTFLMAO… You have to be kidding right?? If you have fished more than 10 minutes in Charleston you know where to find Pogies for a King Tourny.
I will list all the ones that I used to fish when I was doing the SKA trail if you want them from NC to Ga

OK, List them!! Why wait for someone to ask?

And anyone who has looked at this site for more than 10 minutes knows that Swamp was using a thing called sarcasm!!

Seasonal Affair…This is what a 8" Pogie looks like! Found them again today on the way to limiting out on Gags.

Sells, Gotcha! but the ocean completely changed from 6-4 to 6-11. I’m just glad you used the ruler to clarify what an 8" pogy looks like. How much did he weigh? I fish with mud minners for my kings…haha

Hope those baits are out there this weekend. If you were serious, good job with the gags.

wife boated a strong 30 today. Her first King!!

oops, her log in!

That menhaden is only a 7 incher fork length!!!

People still use Menhaden for King bait?

We found a bunch above the big bridge in the wando in front of the docks. They were about that same size.
