Smorgasbord of fish Sat.

Fished low and incoming Saturday in back of a creek near the bay. Went through 2 dozen muds and 2 dozen shrimp on corks and on bottom with a small splitshot. Caught a flounder, 2 Ray’s, several short reds, a small shark, 2 pin fish, a decent trout, a croaker, a toadfish, and a hungry crab that wouldn’t let go. All in all, lots of fun catching, and even better watching a friend catch.

Gotta share last week’s Fathers Day catch also. (It was a little ways from Charleston Harbor) Spent my vacation chasing an Ulua (Greater Trevally) or Omilu (Bluefin Trevally) from shore. After several days, I figured out what to use for bait (Oama or Yellow Goat Fish), where to catch it, caught it, then got to watch my son fight a 10#plus Omilu from a rock Jetty in Maui. Epic fight! Best gift ever watching your kid catch!

Oama

Omilu (Dinner)#128513;

They have mud minnows over there?

17’ Mako //90hp Mercury
16’ Alumacraft // 20hp Yamaha
14’ War Eagle // 9.8hp Tohatsu

That would have been nice, fortunately catching the Oama was a fun little challenge itself and they are great eating to boot.

Good times right there! Thanks for sharing!
