So I am heading down to do some snapper fishing for about 10 days out of Dauphin Island,AL. I left my boat down there for the previous 2 weeks to get a new lowrance HDS system put on it and when I get in town its still not done. But it helps to have good friends to let you hitch a ride so I rode out with some buddies 2 days before I got my boat. Over all the fishing was amazing you get the big 2 snapper limit every day within minutes. I fished 7 days I was there and even made 2 trips out my final day. Usually start about 130 ft and just hang on. Lots of 15-20 pounders and some over 20 pounds. Hit a couple of weed lines coming in around 20 miles out and slayed the chickens 2 days in a row. We put 150 in the boat 2 days in a row. It was to the point where we were just setting out a hook and they bit as soon as it touched the water. Amazing fishing yall get down there. The Alabama Deep Sea fishing Rodeo is this weekend so It will be a good time if anyone wants a great event to attend I recomend it.

I was down there this past weekend for a baseball tournament with my son and fished the pier at dauphin island and did some loafing. Thats a nice place down there I will def be going back. Especially after the coach from the hosting team said he’d take me fishing anytime as long as i bought the gas…I said cheap enough!!

Soon we on the atlantic coast will all have a 3 day weekend (whoopee!!!)to go catch some red snapper break out your old loran numbers. lets hope the weather is good!!!
Looking for someone to fish with around charleston, beaufort area that knows area good. I am just new to that area. Can take my boat out or I help out with yours or we can run both out.
