Cleared rocks at 7:00, sabiki baits were on the C-bouy. Spent a couple of hours looking at live bottom numbers in 100-120ft, found nothing but ran back to Commanche and got a nice yellowmouth grouper and two ARS.
Also had a huge cobia eat a seabass right at the boat and broke off about 10 minutes later on the reef, and several AJ’s came over the rail.
Missed two other groupers to the reef as well.
ate the snapper and grouper tonight. d-lish! I also saved the snapper livers and gave a quick sautee in butter with s n p and a drizzle of aged balsalmic. Phenom of course… or I would not be telling you! So many fish have great organ meats and roe. Or just feed it to the crabs and never know.
That is a scamp, but a mighty nice one!
