Went to the North Inlet reef Sunday. Killed keeper seabass…killed me to release them. Tried to get our bait to other species but that proved almost impossible. Maybe their plan is to stop all fishing by letting the bsb’s overpopulate.
The plan is to have you fish for all different species at all different times of the year (fragmentation) which makes it a lot less beneficial to go “bottom fishing” on any given time of the year…
In other words, we used to go “bottom fishing” and on 1 trip, we could bring back grouper, snapper, BSB’s, vermillions, triggers, etc… Nowadays, you can only keep grouper on Mondays, snapper on tuesdays, BSB’s on wednesdays, vermilion on thursdays, and triggers on fridays… Who wants to invest that kind of money to only be able to keep 3 fish? It’s actually a briliant (though evil) plan if you think about it…

Again - thanks for your help. We are all glad to have you on the panel. Under the current rebuilding strategy for BSB when could the season be lengthended?
We are 3 years into this I think. The BSB season should be aligned with the grouper season under the current bag limit starting in 2014. If not then, when could this be allowed?
