Snooty Beer Drinkers Tips O' The Week 2/6/13

Publix has Sierra Nevada and Stella 12 packs for $12.99.
Remember, Sierra Nevada Torpedo is 7% abv, so you’re getting the equivalent of 24 beers in a 12 pack.
Stella doesn’t really count, but there it is anyway.
Will post more tomorrow regarding what your local breweries are pouring this weekend when they update their weekend tap lists.

Check the Off Topic section for exciting news from COAST Brewing.

The fact that some of us do not have plebian tastes does not make us snooty. Besides, I would hardly call Sierra Nevada “snooty”.

Did Bonzo put you up to this?

The fact that 98% of the beer drinking population consider the rest of us snooty is the reason I chose that term. I’m open to other suggestions.

And yes… Yes he did.

Bonzo, could not be in the 2% of Snooty Beer Drinkers, unless the Swill he drinks, is considered Snooty Beer[:0]

fish20 has permission to use the term “snooty” however he sees ■■■■■■■■ to your cage DFreedom…
if it’s not Bonzo’s and Baitman’s Miller Lite, Mr Penfishn’s Bud Light, capnsandbar’a Corona, CaptEd and justcr’s Natty Light or barbawang and spmirhs’s PBRs then it is snooty…

I prefer “refined”.

Therein lies the rub. If you call your own tastes “refined”, then you imply all others to be the “unrefined”. They are the clear majority. The “unrefined” then form an angry mob and swallow us whole, leaving the local, progressive, talented breweries to die a slow, agonizing death.
Bottom line, it’s just beer. Drink what you like, but know that AB InBev, MillerCoors, etc. don’t give a rat’s tail about you buying a 30 rack on sale for the upcoming weekend. Go to a local brewery, and chances are you get to talk to the guy or girl who is invested in OUR community. You’ll probably even get a “Thanks for coming. Hope we see you again!” from someone who cares about their craft.

Holy City Brewing tastings are a great way to introduce yourself to the local brewing community…

I’ve enjoyed their tastings with duckcommander and capntang…

Holy City tasting/tour highly recommended x2 … really nice guys with a growing business, they deserve support from all beer drinkers!
