I know we aren’t getting as much as first predicted but I always play it safe. I jack up my trailer and put my jack stands under my trailer just to relieve some of the pressure off my trailer tires as well as a stiff leg under my tongue…just something to think about
That might be a little overkill! A cubic foot of snow weighs about 15 lbs. That translates to about 0.1 lbs per square inch of added pressure to your trailer tires.
I put the cover on my rig for the first time in a while to mainly protect my console and electronics from the wintry stuff. I’m sure I’ll have to brush snow off of it in the morn. I don’t think the weight of 4-6 inches of snow is enough to damage trailer tires.
Boat ran good last night, no traffic on the lake at all. It was pretty cold before the rain turned to snow, but OK after that.
I actually had the prop ripped out of my lower unit from snow in the boat. I had the boat back in the woods by a neighbor’s house for the winter. The snow/ice pushed the cover into the boat and filled up. I went to check on it and the tongue was up in the air. Motor pushed into the ground and ripped out the prop. But that was Pennsylvania Snow over a long winter
