Just wanted to get a feel for what other people did this year. I did what I consider average for me. Went out probably 8 times and all combined maybe two cooler fulls in total.
We did our usual week of shrimping early in the season. I say we did average as well. Did not kill them, but did not get skunked either. Couple of days we caught 1/3, 2/3, and full cooler. Any time I get to put shrimp in the freezer it is a good time.
Hope others either did well, or had as much fun as the wife and I did.
Terrible compared to the last few years.
Very bad…worse than last years which was okay but not good. Too many many times to S Bull’s Bay with very few shrimp over
bait. Going back 5 years ago we always got a cooler. I’m wondering of S Bulls Bay is just changing too much. The area around
mid-bay we used to call the hockey stick (old shape of bird island) is just gone due to the storms.
Between Sandshark and myself we each put about 25 quarts heads off in the freezer on 8 trips.
One trip to McClellanville, Carolina Seafood, 50 pounds large, heads off shrimp in the freezer. I like to throw a net for fun sometimes, but it has been easier to buy them to fill the freezer last couple of years.

10 trips in the beaufort area with around 2 limits total… worst year in awhile numbers wise. Size was good.
Went a total of 5 times between deep holing and baiting. Always got between a 1/4 and 1/2 cooler headed. Best outing was about 3/4 headed. Never got skunked but never coolerd either. Like everyone else, I love to put shrimp in the freezer, but I just as much enjoy the fun of being on the water with my buddies

We went 9 times and got a limit all but one of them and the wind was bad couldn’t stay out there. Shrimped N BB 1st 3 times and cowpens the rest of the time. Got 3 limits deep holing
