Do any of the sea food shops have soft shells yet? The place I usually get them does not.
Thanks in advance.
They had them at Boone Hall earlier this week. $6 a piece if I remember correctly.

Got them from Crosby’s for $5/each on Monday. Spoke to a seafood guy last night that said Marvin’s Seafood on Dorchester Rd is by far the best place to get them. I will be going by there today myself.

Probably not a bad price considering their price point. I’m going to guess two crabs. If they gave you three, then you stole them.
Yeah, that was one crab.
I got the scallops…

Ouch
Basil in Mt. Pleasant had them last night served as an appetizer 1 for 14.95 with salt, pepper, lime sauce. They also had an entree with 2 served with red curry sauce. I had the appetizer and it was crispy and delicious. Followed by their duck entree, Dam good, but not cheep.
I bought 4 dozen frozen from the Fish Net on Johns Island several years in a row. I like to stock up. Last year was slim pickins. This year seems the same. Crosby’s weren’t $1 of course, they were 5 and only had about ten small ones. I’ll keep trying.
Thanks!

Does no one around here peel crabs? That’d help keep the price in check.
