I was in Crosby’s today and they said they didn’t have any Blue Crab, just the softshells, they were $5 a piece (no chance I was paying that for bait) but they had frozen ones that had died, $1 a piece, I was okay with that. I bought them and then noticed (well before I bought them I noticed) they were around 3-4 inches not the 5 that is regulated by the gov’t. Anyone had any experience with DNR when it comes to fishing with softshell crabs, and any confusion that may have occurred. I don’t want a sweet fine for being ignorant about a topic, figured I might save some tourist a headache if it is illegal because Crosby’s is selling it as “bait”. Atleast thats what is written on the bag. Thanks everyone
Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.
