A friend of mine and fishing partner is selling his 08 Carolina Skiff 16JVX 07 50hp Yamaha. Motor has around 620 hours on it. I know it has been well maintained and taken care of because I scrubbed it after every trip and helped take care of it and work on it. He was the second owner of the boat; first owner had it garage kept, but has been stored outside on driveway. It comes with a Minn Kota 80 pound thrust copilot trolling motor. Currently has ONE of the two batteries needed for trolling motor; it is a 24 volt trolling motor and has remote for it (needed one of them for new boat). Will also have a GPS/fish finder unit on it (not the one in pics…that one came off and went on new boat also). It has both lights; bow and stern lights with it. The cranking battery is still good. You can cover some ground in the skiff and not chew through a lot of gas too! It has a modified “V” haul also. If you like to get shallow this is the boat for you…drafts about 4-5" of water and can get many of places. It has been a great boat…we have fished tournaments, shrimped and fished it daily with nearly never a problem. Only reason it is going is because we needed something is a little bit bigger and quicker for tournament reasons lol. The boat was just serviced by Hanckle Marine right around Christmas; that’s when the trolling motor was purchased and mounted also. He is asking $6,750. If you are interested in it please let me know. Please only series interest inquires please. Driveways getting to crowded with two boats, two golf carts plus the cars lol. You can email me at mhonour86@gmail.com, text me (520) 433 5469 or send me a msg on here. First two options would be the quickest way to get a hold of me. Hope to put someone in a new boat soon. Let me know. Some pictures are posted below.

You can’t beat a 16’ skiff for an all around great Charleston boat. Set up good for fishing here too. Trolling motor is probably bigger than it needs, but no one ever complains about too much power.
Shouldn’t have too much problem selling it. I think it’s priced pretty fair. Good luck.

thanks man. yeah we hate to let the “battle skiff” go, but time to move on to bigger and faster boats to try to keep up with all of our fellow tournament fishermen/women out there. We wish we could keep it around because it is a great boat for the Charleston area like you said, but the new boat wasn’t free lol. You can get anywhere you want in the thing; even still pole around flats at low tide when just about no one else besides kayaks can get to where we got. Yeah to much power has never been a problem and really come in handy when fishing the strong current.
Yeah i hope we don’t have any trouble. Seemed like a fair price to me too…boats been taken great care of and any “fixes from red fishing”(aka oysters) have been done correctly if not better than the boat was originally built. That skiffs a really tough boat! let me know if anyone you know might be interested. thanks man.

That’s a very good price for that rig, it will go fast.

Yeah we def think we could ask more for it and it would be worth it, but really need a quick sale. Kind of like a bandaid…the faster it happens the less it hurts lol. Shes been a great boat; just dont fit charter/tournament needs. But the new one if def up to the task
thanks yall for the comments

We have it parked up on Dorchester rd by the goodwill on right hand side if heading towards north charleston from summerville if in the area and want to look at it. We have the trolling motor and unit off the boat sitting up there just fyi
