The influx of rain and storm water over the last week has not yet affected the trout bite in and around the Charleston Harbor. Our Fishing Department Lead managed about 60 specks out of one of his favorite holes fishing both Monday and Tuesday. The bait of choice both days was Z-man Streakz Curly Tailz in Golden Boy, fished on a red or gold TroutEye jig head. Also had some luck on a few topwater baits (mullet colored Spook JR’s and Badonk-A-Donk’s). Most success was had on the rising tide up until about an hour and a half before high tide. All fish were caught out of an Old Town Predator kayak.
Nice!! Good stuff.

Good to hear!
Sometimes the rain makes it better by making them concentrate in the salty water.
Good to hear. Thanks for the report.

The real salty water is out in the ocean right now… The salinity it he rivers/harbour is lower than usual… I do not understand the remark
Maybe, just once, someone will call me “sir” without adding, “you’re making a scene.”
