Called this buck in at 15 yards. Rifle hunt with archery mentality c’mon!!! Mature 4 point marsh buck. Rank, but not the rankest. Drag out made me wish i had brought the cart in but when you go in by foot with a climber, gear bag, and rifle…I only make 1 trip back out when it’s dark! Slow and steady this ol’ fella still can do it by golly

After reading this I think I am gonna start taking my cart in a little over halfway, lol.
The last one I dragged out I swore would be the last one I dragged out.

I used a deer sleigher combined with a shoulder drag harness back when I hunted government woods.
I got something thatworks better than the harness if you don’t have a cart. It doesn’t beat you down like that harness does. Compact and ambidextrous. I love it. My girls got me 2 a couple years ago and when you got over a mile drag back to the truck with a hog or deer i can handel it. That little strap that goes around your wrist is the secret. You don’t have to use forearm strength while dragging. Hook it on the lower jaw works best so you are dragging with the grain
