Hit a new area today off the Stono but unfortunately I encountered water that wasn’t high enough to my liking and chocolate milk for water quality. Bummer, so i swung back out to another new spot off the Ashley and of course, the water was much higher than expected. That water could easily hide over slot tailers and never make a ripple. I found 2 cruisers and after making a cast and start my retrieve they’d dissappear and I guess turned but never found them again. Water clarity was black coffee at 3 inches. Then after a mile of poling I found 2 tailers, upper slots. Was extremely difficult to make a cast with a side ways oncoming wind and keep the boat from being blown off course solo. Needless to say the fish would turn before my bait could get in view. Plan to take Youngen Style out this weekend and hope we can make it happen. If you want clear water you better try the neighbor’s pool or try the aquarium!!!

Cottageville tomorrow, Youngen Style has a driving class to attend from 9:30-11:00 so i get 2 days of cast and blast solo…I already etched her in on the Wando
