Some advice for an old friend?

Man, you can tell it’s been awhile since ive been on the forums! I posted the following in the report section instead of the discussion. Any way to delete the other one?
Anyways, my original post:
Hello all! Man it’s great to be looking through the forums again.

I lived in Charleston a year or so ago and learned so much from all of the readily available wisdom on these forums. I didn’t have a boat, but did turn in some solid fish off of Pitt street bridge and off the good ole canoe.

All that said, I’m looking at making a trip back to paradise two weekends from now, this time armed with a real boat. I also plan to bring a friend or two down, so let’s pray for a bit of luck.
My question is more what pattern would you gents recommend we try? Most of my luck came on Carolina rigged mm or shrimp. I don’t have much experience in the cooler months, so perhaps there is something else you’d all recommend? Rig, bait, and presentation advice would be very humbly appreciated. And not to ask for holes by any means, but a loose direction to head in this time of year would also be very appreciated. (Ashely, wando, or a landing you’d suggest)

I’ll certainly do my part and post the fishing report! Or at least some pictures of the smiles that come along with a day on the water

Here it is…

The Wando is aways a good bet as is Bulls Bay. The reds are typicaly in schools on the flats and the trout are by the grass around oyster bed creek mouths and points.Cut frozen mullet, or mud minows for live bait. Artificials try trout tricks and curly tail grubs in smoke or shades of purple with some ■■■■■ in them. Hope that helps.
