Some Doggie Portraits....

I had a job this past weekend taking some dog portraits…some of them came out pretty decent I thought…Its like shooting babies though…they rarely look how and where you want them too! It was a fun challenge.

Enjoy!

An an action shot of my dog Roscoe to finish it up…

If you got paid for those pics you found a sucker , hold on to them

Ricky I was just messing with ya , I like this one the best

No biggie, we were mostly messing around with the action shots…all they really wanted was a headshot of the dog…

Nice work Ricky!

Good set of the pup.

They are beatuful dogs as i am partial to the boykin… but the collar on that first one is hideous, I say

" It is what it is".

If you enjoy taken these types of photos… invest in a 50mm 1.4

$380 is cheap and with the 1.4 it will improve the bokeh

That’s a very nice lens, I have the 50mm 1.8 and can get some great shots with it. The above pictures were taken with the new 18-135mm f3.5, mostly all on the low end.

I’m looking at L glass for my next lens…not sure which one yet.

This is what you’ll probably use 80% of the time, it’s worth the money.

Just give me that one…

Get a canon 100-400. You will never take it off. I promise. Can find the used cheap for around $1150.

I have the ultra sonic 70-300 IS which is pretty sharp for a mid grade lens… I really want a walk around L lens to keep on the body 80% of the time.

I use the 70-300 less than 20% of my shooting. Its only for wildlife and football games.
