Got to talking to a few guys after our annual little tx/picnic last weekend and there was quite a bit of interest in doing something similar, but at night.
Would weigh in at Spence as in the past, but it will need to be a Saturday in order to have time during the day to set up some lighting, grill etc… Maybe something like 7PM-11PM. That would give us the last couple of hours before dark and a couple of hours after.
I looked into it today and Jun 27th looks really good. The moon will be 80% visible and will have already risen before the sun sets, so we would have some good light, but yet not close enough to a full moon that it should be hard to draw bait with lights.
If interested, either reply here or just send me a PM and if it looks like there’s enough interest, I’ll come up with some more specific plans.
The club is doing an event with the Freedom and Hope foundation that day but that will be in the morning. I would probably participate. I have had a good time at the others.
Not catching fish at night should be just as easy not catching them during the day.
I’ve never fished at night so it should be an experience. I’ll see if my friend John wants to try it. And like Riff, I’ll have to clear it through the ol’ lady.
