Something I've noticed

I’ve been seeing a lot of people on the water lately struggling to catch bait when it is popping all around you. The main cause of you not catching bait is your cast net. The 4-6 ft light nets are great for the creeks in shallow water but when you are trying to catch Menhaden in 10ft or more you need a heavier net. On another note before this monsoon we’ve had this week the menhaden have been as thick as I’ve seen in awhile.

23 says you only need 20 baits for a day of fishing.

Tell me about this 20 bait rule. I had a newbie fishing with me a couple of weeks ago. He threw off 20 Bates in the first hour and a half of fishing

Agreed about the menhaden being thick, especially near iop on the waterway, was out flounder gigging last saturday and i had 3 jump up in the boat they were so thick

Look at where Jesus went to pick people. He didn’t go to the colleges; he got guys off the fishing docks.

I can't take credit for the 20 bait rule, ask your bestie 23 about it, he was the one that told us that.
