Soooo, Am I messing up??

By pumping in the grease on my hubs till I see it purge all of the old grease??

I believe they are called EZ Lube that the zerk connection runs to back of hub, therefore pushing out all the old grease.

I’ve done it for awhile problem free on a couple of trailers but, have read of problems blowing out seals.

Thanks for Advice, folks.

BTW, most of my travels are not more than 15 miles one way.

I pretty much have done the same thing over the years. But every couple years I pull the bearings and repacked them. And put new seals in.

I am fragile.
Not like a flower.
But like a bomb.

Should be fine, that’s the way I’ve done mine for many years.

Thanks for the replies.

I actually talked to someone at Wesco today and they said not a problem but, don’t use a pneumatic (air compressor type)grease gun. My reply, I used a Battery operated…[:0].

If no problems arise, I will continue this method but, get the wheels off the ground and spin while doing.

BTW, I used the Lucas Red and Tacky #2.

When I was in construction, we didn’t consider the heavy equipment greased until the old grease oozed out. Of course now, we’d be fined for dripping grease in the dirt. Rub that oozed grease on your lug nuts…kept them nasty and not rusty.

Rod at Charleston Trailer advised me (that’s what I always did also, and kept blowing out my back seals) to pump until you start to feel a little resistance then STOP
