sorry been a while since my last post

Ya being from Miami I am totally comfortable with the water but a total wuss about the cold, so I just haven’t been fishing much lately.

Anyways I did get myself a new toy recently a new sage xi3 with a Nautilus reel. I have never fly fished before in salt but really wanted a new challenge so I am in. Anyhow I have been practicing and I am ready to hit the water as soon as we have some temps above 50 with light winds. However I am uncertain about how to go at the fly fishing at this time of year. Any recommendation or advice on where to go what to look for and what to do?

The ultimate goal is this summer someone is going to loan me a 12wt and when the menhaden start running in pods off the beach I am going to try to catch some black tips on the fly in the yak and maybe if I am lucky find another king but on the fly. I am sure it will just be a matter of time and patience.

“sage xi3 with a Nautilus reel” Nice rig there Brother… of course the only thing better is a March Brown Hidden Waters
