South Bulls Bay 10/29

Launched at Garris right after high tide. Stopped and talked with a couple of boats deepholing the mouth of Anderson Creek, neither doing much. Went on out and on the Bird Island side and set three poles in 10ft with the current already moving hard. Baited those and made a couple of passes catching a couple of shrimp. Set three more closer to the channel but in 7-8 ft then went back and forth a while waiting on the shrimp. By mid tide we decided to go with the shallower spot and set all the poles there. It was consistent with a dozen to 2 dz a cast. The wind and current were wicked but we managed to set up to throw with the wind if it was a little hard on the driver.

Ended with about 7/8s of a cooler of nice shrimp. By the time we got them headed there was enough water to get back to the ramp. A long day of it but beautiful day to be out there…if a bit windy.

Good stuff right there.

Great report well done
