Its a great question and it is something the comittee talked about it, we are certainly open for seeing were this can go, especialy if the interest is substantial. Email me and lets talk. wahooshootout@aol.com
Dont forget registration is open until this friday february 17th.
From what i was informed- Charleston is the furthest inlet north you can fish out of and all fish must be weighed in HH- tournament is set up pretty well and the guys running it are making it good for everyone- get some!
Again I want to thank everyone for supporting this event, it was put together in a short time and the turn out is well beyond expectations. I would also like to mention that being the first year we still have some work to do. We want to get as much ■■■■■■■■ as possible and if it is something we like then we can start the planning for 2013.
Thanks for the input. As this event grows we can definetly look for other weigh in sights.
Show me you guys are interested, sign up this year. I know the ride to bluffton is not convenient but you can drive the fish down the next day, so your fish day is not shortened. Right now we have 21 boats, 1 from Charleston.
First prize is up to $8,500.! 3 more boats and it will be $10,000! Thats worth a ride to Bluffton dont you think? Especialy if you are planning to fish the stream this season any way.
At the end of the series, we want to get all the teams together and see what works and doesnt, what we like and dis liked, and start planning early for 2013.
No boats have fished yet so we are still taking entries until the first boat fishes.
Lott 700 fished south and had 6 wahoo and several blackfins. 75 degree water on the ledge and is cleaning up nicely after the long blow is finaly over. They are leading the series with a 43lb fish. They had one bigger but the shark got a peice.
Several boats are fishing this weekend should be interesting!
The bite slowed down a little to the south, the currents seem to be ripping on through. But it did not stop Team Nomad and thier new Freeman boat from taking the lead weighing a 55.6 this morning.
It has been a great series so far. Today was the last day to fish, and we had a nice 48.9 lb wahoo weighed in.
There have been several high fourties weighed this week, and has set the stage for a dramatic finish at the 8th Annual Hilton Head Harbor Wahoo Shootout. The Shootout is a bonus day for the Series and out of 22 boats 15 still have a chance to win. And if you luck into a good fish you could win both tournaments and possibley $18,500 Cash! Where else can you fish against 34 boats and win $18,500 Cash?
Thanks for every ones support and stay tuned for the finally this weekend!!
