south on 3-28

cleared dewees inlet at 5:30 and ran south straight into the seas and the moon light. pretty choppy and only made 20-25kt. in our 32’cc. put lines in at edisto banks at 8:00 and worked south. not much life there but picked up a 28# wahoo. feeling good after that. decided to go find the warm water and possible weedline. ran further south and weeds were in 1000ft. @ 72 degrees. worked that for a while with nothing. ran out found 74degrees. no weeds no life. back to the weedline worked it somemore, nothing. back to edisto banks, and nothing again. ran home at 30-33kts. in big chop. a fun day exploring, but if I to do it again, i would have stayed on the ledges and worked for more hoo. not very productive but felt good to get out.

Thanks for the report. Sounds like we need to wait a couple more weeks. Ready to go in on the 39 Jupiter express?

Capt. Mel

Mel, yesterday I realized that we need an express boat. that whole boat including john and I got a salt water bath in that wind and chop. I think we need to sell that boat and charter the new a-fish-a-knot-o!!
ps mel: we caught 20 strippers, 6 between 17" and 20", on our property on the saluda monday. the big ones are coming soon.
Oops, i meant stripers. you know fish. not girls that take there clothes off. although 20 strippers would be entertaining.

Did you ever get a chance to look in the area for which I sent you some #'s?
