2 thumbs up from this Charleston boy! Recently, I have been looking for the Bid Daddy Waxwing jigs by Shimano. Trying to stay local, I contacted our local shops for help, but to my surprise, nothing. So, I remembered Courtland helping me out a while back. Contacted him and he said he’d have someone call me at 1pm today to take care of it. At 12:47pm, phone rings and it’s Josh with Southern Drawl Outfitters. Within 10 minutes he had what I needed, hung up, called me back and asked for my address where to ship them to. Now that’s service! It might be 100 miles south of here, but I’ve got another “local” tackle shop now. Check 'em out!
And, just so I don’t ruffle any feathers, the local shops are doing great too. I get to pick-up some rods and reels from Atlantic Game and Tackle next week, as well as some ballyhoo and misc. trolling stuff from Scott and Robert over at Haddrell’s in West Ashley.
I have been fortunate enough to get out with Courtland a couple times and he has taught me alot.
Have also spent more $ in his store than the wife needs to know:stuck_out_tongue:. Got some quality gear!!
Also, now that he is doing Charters and alot of people are interested in Cobia, BEWARE…he does not catch the big ones…not over 75 lbs anyway, yet!
I’m sure anyone that wants to book a trip will come back well satisfied…IMO. He knows how to mix it up for what you may want if water conditions are right.
Seriously, we screw it up just as much as get it right, but I can say we honestly care and will always try our best. That’s all we can do.
