Southern Hospitality

Went on an invitation from Mr. Stokes and Capt. Scott, on a combo trip. I spent the night on the boat, and we left Bohicket early. We were met by a confused and choppy sea, and slowly made our way to the lower end of Edisto banks in hopes of finding a few Hoo’s on the temp break. After a couple of hours pulling Black Bart wahoo rigs, and some Z-man stainless, we still had a skunk on board. We had one knockdown on a piece of meat, and it got the prize. Scotty took us over to a piece ledge that has been kind to me in the past, and it did well again today. I went right back to catching AJ’s like last week, and finally boated a 20 lb Gag. Yellow flat sided and glow butterfly jigs were the hot colors. We caught about 25 AJ’s, lost 1/2 dozen jigs and rigs, pulled some B-liners, jolts, and endangered Pinks, and called it a day. Thank you Mr Stokes, Scotty, Grover, Marion, and Bubba, I had a great time! It is going to be hard getting back on a center console and making that trip to the ledge.

Looks to me like a home away from home. I would just have to say that, THAT IS ONE SWEET RIDE!!! I don’t think I would like the payments that come along with it but I certainly would not shoot down a chance to fish aboard it. Nice fish!!!

It because of smart a.s.* comments like the one above why a lot of big boats are run off from posting on here. They just do want want to deal with the constant harassment most of you bring on them. Why even bring payments/$ into this conversation?

Sells, what kinda jigging combo is that/ what size braid is on there?

If you’ve got enough $$$ for a boat like that, I doubt they are “making payments”.

I don’t think he was trying to say anything negative at all. Just complimenting the boat. Don’t be so harsh, man.

Actually Jo Jo…I’m pretty sure the reason most of the “big boats” don’t post here is because the owners actually have jobs that require their attention during the day and their captains don’t need to be here to pick up all the valuable “pro tips” being shared in the Offshore Discussion forum.
