Went to the nearshore this past weekend and didn’t see any schools of them. May try 4KI next week and see if they are still there. has anyone seen them latley? Also can you catch them deeper later in the summer? I have never seen them at the nearshore reefs once we get into July. Are they still around at the 60 in July and August? Thanks

Charleston 60 they were THICK when out there about 2 weeks ago. Have seen plenty of reports of guys still catching them recently.

Our last 2 times out there were hundreds over a wreck in 60 ft, couldn’t get them to touch anything offered and we had no jelly balls- how do you catch them without jelly’s?

They will hit small pieces of fresh shrimp if you don’t have jelly balls. Just curious if anyone has ever caught them nearshore once we get into mid July-September? I have only caught them in may and June in the past and it seems they disappear by mid summer

I was seeing spades at the jetties last August.

My wife and I went to the folly pier tonight to wet some lines and we caught a few small ones. If they are there then they’ve got to be around in other places.

Three-fourths of the Earth’s surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.
