Are they in?
I was told they were in. Gonna try for them Friday.
where do yall try spanish? any spots they like?
Not sure how close they come to the beach, but I didn’t see any chasing bait (didn’t see any bait for that matter) on Sunday on the north end of IOP.
Had a topwater ready just in case they were within casting distance but no surface action.

Caught them while fishing for cobia. They were schooled up busting bait with a bunch of bluefish
We’re fishing the Jetties this weekend. May run off the beach and look for them if they’re around. I saw some running bait last weekend on the south side of the south jetty.

Poleyard, are you throwing live bait on the surface through schools?
Live bait under popping corks into the schools. the cork gives you enough weight to stay off of the school and still cast into them
Dude!!! Rip their face off with a hammered spoon and a treble hook “Old School Style”. Sure, you’ll do more chasing than catching, but the freakin’ bite is pure 220 volt electricity on light tackle.

Fished Castle Pinckney friday. Not one bight! Couple others out there chasing, but no bights!
While targeting sheep on the jetties Saturday saw Spanish schooled up on the end of the South jetty. Tossed spoons, a few bumps but no takers. Tied a glass minnow on the fly rod and had some fun. One nice sheep on the fiddler then headed in to beat the storm. Fished inshore and landed a few more keeper sheep and black drum. Nice, wet day.
Fished the school at the end of the south jetty and blistered them Saturday in the Sea Nympho. Ended the day with 18 all above 18 inches. All caught on silver and gold clark spoons, silver being more popular.
Fished through the bad weather Saturday for the Carolina Lady Angler tourney. Towards the end of the day we saw the tell tale sign of fish when we spotted the 100+ birds flying/diving around behind castle pinckney. Good school of small ribbonfish were in the tideline so we fished it hard for about an hour to only catch bluefish. No spanish to be found.

Trolled around the south Jetty after wearing out some redfish (read: one nice redfish and about 20 Bonnet Heads) in the morning. Saw a few folks catching them by casting into the schools. We didn’t pick up any trolling but only gave it 30 minutes or so before getting run out by they storms around Noon. they’re out there.
