Interested in hearing if they’re showing yet as well. Haven’t been out to look yet, but I imagine if they’re not here, they’ve got to be close.

I saw several schools two weeks ago near bulls bay shoals. Fish were jumping and birds were working them.

They have show up in numbers up in central North Carolina.
Catching quite a few off folly pier and breach inlet past few weeks
How do you target them at folly pier and breach’s?
Best methods used here? Out of Panama City we used to pull a chicken rig of pompano jigs, no grubs just the jig head. Trolled the channel just to the end of the jetties and back. We would make a pass or two along the beach as well but best production was inside the jetties.

I just troll some small Clarks spoons behind a little planer.

Easiest I found from bridges or piers is small jigs, spoons, or simple yet most effective gold hook rigs
From bridges and piers it’s hard to beat a live shrimp on a float rig. I’ve caught many many spanish on shrimp.
Trolling I like Clark spoons best, silver with a red bead. Match the size to the bait. I’d pull a couple flat on the surface with a small weight and a couple on small planers. See which ones they like the best that day. Spanish like the bait moving real fast, about 8-10 mph works good. And if you are casting to them, reel as fast as you can.

Any news from the Spanish lately? I might be looking for them later this week
Pretty thick along coastline. Just look for the tide lines and bait balls
Sin dudda, todo esta bien para de spoon has no weight, get one of those heavy diamond jigs or a “gotcha” you can cast that girl 2.4 miles into the wuind. just use a swiv
