Yes. Look for birds around the tips of the jetties. Once you find diving birds youve found them. Small clark spoons and gotchas work well for me. I like to run to the schools and cast at them. Lots of guys troll clark spoons on planers. When casting, the faster you retrieve the more youll hook.

I caught 4 Spanish trolling around the nearshore reef today just outside of the jetties. Silver Clark spoons on planers about 5-6 mph. I was just using the rpm gauge and running about 1300-1500 rpms. Spanish do like it fast.

Run n gun Fished for them last Saturday during the washing machine. There were plenty of fish and they were easy to find but proved much tougher to catch. Didn’t troll, just casted spoons and gotchas around the school. Had a tough time getting hits. I don’t think we were matching the hatch of the small glass minnows. Was very strange because in the past, we’d have fish fighting over the bai all the way to the boat.
