Spanner wrench for trim and tilt pump

I’m replacing o-rings on my 2004 40hp Yamaha trim and tilt pump . Where can I buy the spanner wrench to fit the top screw cap on the pump ? I know to go to Chris V for the o-rings , just need to locate a spanner or pin wrench . The pump is leaking out around the shaft .

Got a link to which one is needed? I don't want to make your mistake either.

You could fork out the cash and buy an adjustable pin wrench.

I tried an alternative route on my honda and ended up buying the correct tool.

I don’t remember which size I got it was a few years ago, but it was one of these:

The pins are fixed, arms are sturdy and I used some vinegar to help cut the oxidation.

This is rube goldberg engineering… (Can I say that? Are the PC police going to harass me as an anti-Semite?)

Anyway, had an old lawn mower blade. Center hole fit over the shaft about right. Cut most of one end of the blade off. Drilled two holes, one each side of the original hole to match the spacing for the pins. Tapped the new holes, ran two bolts that fit the trim cap pin spacing through them. Locked the ‘pins’ in with nuts on the back side. Ground the remnants of the sharp portion of the blade off. Worked like a charm. Took about 20 min to make.

I have one with ~ .150" pins, 1.5" spacing if you want to borrow it. Pretty sure I used on my Yam 250.

I got the cap off , I was hoping not to disassemble the unit . It’s leaking from the top o-ring .
