Spearfishing/Water Visability Question

Hey all. The family and I are coming up for vacation next week. Well, they are staying for the week, I get to leave after only 3 days to go back to work. Anyways, I want to do some diving to get some doormats for the table and maybe some for the freezer. I have been to the Jetties at Murells Inlet before and have been able to see the bottom in 15 feet of water no problem. My question is, what is/ has the water quality been the last few days or week?

Just trying to find out to see whether or not I may need to just decide to run off to the 3mile or another nearshore reef to check there or chance the Jetties.

Also, I will be most likely diving on Monday or Tuesday to avoid the weekend boaters just for added safety.

Viz is crap right now from all the rain. I’d recommend getting out if you have the ability.

Thanks for the heads up fellas. I might just take a tank with me on a bottom bumpin trip just in case I get the itch to jump over board though :slight_smile:

Nevermind. Look like the weather is going to be crap and it’s not going to be condusive to go off this weekend or this coming week. Oh well. Maybe some other time.
